Why a hold and not a charge
You can’t know a jacket fits until it is on you. So the money is held while the rider is on the way, and only what you keep is ever taken. A partial charge releases the rest to your card straight away — usually the same day, sometimes a few working days, depending on your bank.
What it costs
Delivery is worked out from how far the shop actually is. There is a small service fee, and £2.50 for each thing that goes back — somebody has to carry it. If a shop hasn’t got something after all, you are told and never charged for it.
Coming to more cities
A city opens when enough shops and enough riders are ready in it — not before, because a half-empty city is a bad first order. Shops and riders can join the queue now.
