Terms of Service
Effective 31 October 2026
WEARIT carries clothes between a local shop and your door and handles the money. The shop sells them; we do not. This page is the agreement that makes that work.
These terms are the agreement between you and Iam The Protagonist Ltd, trading as WEARIT and The It Group (“we”, “us”). We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16842280, registered office 60 Hay Lane, London, NW9 0NB. Email: theitgroupapps@gmail.com.
By creating an account, downloading or using any WEARIT app — WEARIT, WEARIT Courier, WEARIT Business, the shop dashboard or this website (together, “the app”) — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
1. What WEARIT does
You order clothes from a shop near you. A rider collects them once the shop has packed every item, brings them to your door, and waits while you try them on. You keep what you want and send the rest straight back with the rider, and you are charged only for what you kept plus the delivery. Shops use WEARIT Business to sell this way; riders use WEARIT Courier to carry the orders.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old. WEARIT takes payments, holds money and sends people to your door.
- You must give true information when you sign up and keep it up to date. For riders and shops this matters more — see sections 6 and 7.
- One account per person. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your sign-in private. Tell us straight away at theitgroupapps@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
- You may not use the app if we have previously closed an account of yours for breaking these terms.
3. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product. Everything in the app that isn’t yours — the design, the code, the name, the logos — belongs to us or our licensors.
4. Payments between users
- The app is a platform. The contract for the clothes is between the customer and the shop; we are not a party to it, we don’t supply the goods, and we are not the shop’s or the rider’s employer or agent. We carry the goods and run the payment.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s own terms. Card details go to Stripe, never to us. Riders and shops are paid out through Stripe, to bank details they give Stripe.
- When a customer places an order the full basket total is held on their card. It is not a charge. When the door closes, the customer is charged for what they kept plus the fees in section 5, and the rest of the hold is released. How quickly it reappears is the bank’s business.
- Our fees and the shop’s commission are shown before anyone commits — the customer sees every line at checkout, and a shop sees its plan’s rate before choosing it. Fees are not refundable once an order has been completed.
- If something goes wrong, tell us within 14 days through the app or at theitgroupapps@gmail.com. We look at both sides’ evidence — the order record, the door timer, the rider’s doorstep photo — and decide what is released or refunded. We do this in our reasonable judgement and our decision on the held money is final as between you and us; it does not stop you pursuing the other party.
- You may not take an order, a shop or a rider you found on the app off-platform to avoid our fees.
5. For customers
Ordering
- A shop can turn an order down. If it does, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
- If something is not on the shelf after all, you are told and never charged for it. A rider is never sent until the shop has confirmed every item is in the bag.
- You can cancel free of charge until the shop starts picking.
- Any credit on your account is used first; the rest is held on your card.
At the door
- You get five minutes to try things on with the rider waiting, free. If you have told us you need longer, you get fifteen, also free.
- After that it is charged at 30p a minute, and the rider is paid for that time.
- There is a limit of 20 minutes, so nobody is stuck on a doorstep. When it is reached the rider takes back whatever you have not kept.
- Anything you do not decide on goes back. Silence is not a purchase.
- If nobody comes to the door, the trip is charged: £12 if you gave a safe place, £18 if you did not, because then it all has to come back.
What you pay
- The price of what you kept, set by the shop.
- Delivery from £3.49 plus £1 a mile, capped at £7.49.
- A service fee of £1.50 to £2.49 depending on distance.
- £2.50 for each item going back. A second size of something you keep goes back free.
- Any extra minutes at the door, and the price of any alteration you asked for plus its trip fee.
- Adding a second shop to the same delivery costs £2.50 for that shop rather than a second delivery fee.
Every one of these is shown at checkout before you place the order, next to what it would cost you to go to the shop yourself. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Faulty clothes
You are buying from the shop, and your rights against the shop are the ones the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you. If something is faulty, tell us and we will sort it out with the shop — here is how.
6. For riders
- You work for yourself. You are an independent contractor, not our employee, worker or agent. You choose your own hours, go on and off shift when you like, and may accept or decline any job. You are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance, and for insurance appropriate to how you ride.
- Before you can be approved you declare what you ride and that everything you tell us is true, show the documents the app asks for (photo ID, right to work, your vehicle, and a licence and insurance for a scooter or car), pay a £5 joining fee, and pass an identity check run by Stripe. Wrong information is a ban.
- You are paid per job: £4 plus £1 a mile, 20p a minute while a customer tries things on past the free time, £1.50 for each extra shop on a run, and a set amount per leg for alterations. You see your pay before you accept a job. Cashing out instantly costs 50p; the standard payout is free.
- You carry the customer’s goods and the shop’s stock. Take reasonable care of them, bring back everything the customer does not keep, and take the doorstep photo the app asks for when nobody is home.
- You may not carry an order you were not dispatched to, hand a job to someone else, or ask a customer to pay you directly.
7. For shops
- You sell to the customer. You are responsible for your products, their descriptions, prices and stock, their quality and safety, and for the customer’s statutory rights against you as the seller.
- You choose a plan: Free takes 20% of what sells, Growth is £99 a month for 12%, Pro is £299 a month for 7%. Plans are billed by Stripe. A paid plan renews monthly until you move to Free, which takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Returned items earn no commission.
- You must only press Everything’s in the bag when every item is physically picked. That press is what sends a rider.
- You may add colleagues to your shop; you are responsible for what they do on it.
8. Ratings, photos and how people treat each other
- A customer can rate the rider and the shop after an order, with a short comment. A rider takes a doorstep photo where the app asks for one. Anything you write or photograph stays yours; you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, copy and transmit it so the app can work. We don’t sell it.
- A doorstep photo is seen only by the three people on that order — the customer, the rider and the shop — and by us when there is a dispute. Nothing in WEARIT is a public feed.
- Zero tolerance. Riders are people standing outside in the weather, and customers are opening their front door. No abuse, harassment, threats, discrimination, impersonation, scams or anything illegal, in person or in a comment. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts without notice for any of this, and anything criminal goes to the police.
- To report a comment, a photo or a person, write to theitgroupapps@gmail.com or use support. We act on reports within 24 hours.
9. Meeting people from the app
A rider comes to your door; a customer opens it. We check riders’ identity and documents before approving them, but we do not vet anyone beyond that. Use the same care you would with any delivery: try things on inside with the door closed if you prefer, and never hand over money or belongings outside the app’s payment flow. We are not responsible for what happens between users in person.
10. Acceptable use
Don’t: break the law; interfere with the app or anyone else’s use of it; probe or overload our systems; scrape or harvest data; use bots; bypass any security or payment; or use the app for anything it isn’t for. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
11. Third-party services
The app uses services we don’t control — Apple and Google for sign-in and app distribution; Stripe for payments, payouts, identity checks and shop plans; Supabase for hosting; Cloudflare to tell people from bots at sign-in; Resend to send our emails; Vercel for this website. Each has its own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them. Links out of the app go to sites we don’t run.
12. Availability and changes
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, pause or withdraw any feature. If we withdraw the app entirely we’ll give reasonable notice; orders in progress are completed or refunded, and money owed to riders and shops is paid out.
13. Our liability — read this one
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else UK law doesn’t let us limit.
- If you are a consumer, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses — the customer app is for personal use.
- Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or loss caused by things outside our reasonable control — weather, traffic, a shop closing early — beyond making sure you are not charged for what you did not get. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of £100 and what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or, for a claim about a particular order, the value of that order.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
14. Ending things
- You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account from the account screen in the app — You in WEARIT, Shift in WEARIT Courier, Settings in WEARIT Business — or by emailing us. What is deleted and what we have to keep is on its own page.
- An account cannot be deleted while an order is in the air; finish it first.
- We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we withdraw the app. Where fair, we’ll tell you why; a rider who is turned down for wrong information reads the reason in the app.
- Sections that by their nature should survive — licences for things already shared, liability, governing law — keep applying after your account closes.
15. Apple and Google
If you downloaded the app from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to support or maintain the app; if the app fails to meet a warranty you may tell Apple, who may refund the price you paid, and beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app or your use of it; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you aren’t in a country under a US government embargo and aren’t on any US government list of prohibited parties. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google’s own terms also apply to the download.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and for anything that materially affects you we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using the app after that date means you accept the new terms; if you don’t, stop using the app and, for a shop on a paid plan, move to Free.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there, and nothing here takes away protections you have under the law of where you live. If you have a complaint, email theitgroupapps@gmail.com first and we’ll try to sort it out within 14 days. UK consumers can also use the dispute resolution options the Citizens Advice consumer service points to.
18. Everything else
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the app. If any part is found unenforceable the rest still applies. We may transfer our rights under these terms to another company in a sale or reorganisation; you may not transfer yours. Not enforcing a term once doesn’t mean we’ve given it up.
19. Copyright complaints
If you think something on WEARIT — a comment, a photo, a product listing — copies work you own, tell our designated copyright agent:
Thomas Junior Modeste

Email: iamtheprotagonistltd@gmail.com
- To report it, send the agent a notice with: your signature; the work you say has been copied; where the copy is in the app; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by you, your agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you own the work or are authorised to act for the owner.
- If something of yours was removed and you think that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent.
- Accounts that repeatedly infringe other people’s copyright will be closed.
